Microsoft announced a new update Windows 8.1 (formerly known as Windows
Blue) and confirmed the release of its preview on 26th June 2013.
They are going to preview the new features in the MS Build developer conference
in June. The update was previously announced for a price of $40 but now they
have advisably revised as free to download from its website, windows store. It is expected to get announced some new
Windows Blue hardware.
They have an announcement in blogs.windows.com but you cannot see any
useful information on feature updates. There are some bruits available in many
websites, however all really futile.
The chief marketing officer Tamy Reller confirmed this again and said
that this update will provide added options for business (that is their vision
and exhibited in Windows 8 version also), providing more choices for work and
play. All what we heard from him is usual, regular and minor updates because MS
already has >72,000 windows 8 Metro apps in store and going to add more.

What’s new in updated windows 8 apps?
It is adding a feature a new Snap Views where one could share his/her
screen 50/50 between two applications, now it is 70/30 including throughout
more than one monitor.
The users may boot straight to the desktop instead of the existing
booting into apps screen and then to desktop.
Additional features can be synchronised between PCs.
It was told that Windows Core Experience Team would be further
developing the new Windows UI with newer application life cycle,
personalisation and start screen as well.
It may provide visual enhancements (of course perceptible) and bestow some
tweaks under the bonnet.
The update will be extended to W8 mobiles, Sky Drive and Outlook as
well.
