The observation from Intel site and news revealed a revolutionising processors to be released to take the computing to a very productively and efficiently to a next level. The documentation of vr-zone.com clarifies that 4th generation chipsets will be the first to use six and eight cores. Now Intel is using only 4 cores. Intel released a note about its plans launching desktop varieties named as Haswell-E series. 6 cores & 8 cores mean faster, up to 50% faster than the 3rd generation. Intel further adds each processor will support 2-4 graphic cards as these series need to be so. It targets Ultrabooks, tablet and PCs.
Intel is about to release a Wellsburg motherboard and will support four channel DDR4 RAM having a 2133 MHz clock speed. This is also first of its kind. It can power up to 10 SATA hard drives capable of much faster data transferring up to 6GBPS. It will also support 14 USB ports including 6 USB 3.0.

When it comes to overall performance improvement it goes to the side of games in terms of graphic experience but less with common tasks of video, music and documents. The most adept part of Haswell is battery life the greatest improvement it has produced ever. Intel’s flagship Core i7-4650U processor that uses only 15Watts of power would give full HD video playback up to 9+ hours which is 50% larger than 3rd generation Corei7. Intel affirms 20 times of power consumption betterment than its predecessor 3rd generation cores. It also supports an ultra HD display that’s called as 4K. This is almost 4 times clearer than now available HD, i.e. 3,840x2,160 against 1,920x1,080.

Devices with Intel core 4th generation:
Acer and Asus have already unveiled their 4th generation intel core based notebooks on 3rd July. The Transformer Book Trio announced by Asus powered by 4th generation Core i7 with a docking station.
Another giant in laptop market Dell comes out with its Dell XPS 11 joined in 4th generation club. What about Apple? It may also release Retina MacBook Pro with Haswell processors. HP Envy 17 will be available with fourth generation Core i7 packed with 17.3”screen having 1920x1080 display, 4 Beats Audio speakers and 2TB storage. It is anticipated that Microsoft Surface Pro 2 to use Haswell in various hybrid designs.
The pricing has been put by the on-line by PC superstore as $197for i5 in the lower end and $368 for high end i7 processors. Intel’s GM-PC client group confirmed that it will start shipping in Quarter 2 when speaking at Developer forum of Intel.
Though the computing experience might be revolutionised by Intel, the user experience is in the hands of notebook and desktop PC manufacturers.
